The Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) is stepping in to help victims of Typhoon Tinio and Super Typhoon Uwan.
According to Commissioner Willie Marcial, the league plans to personally visit the provinces that were hit the hardest by the recent typhoons.
The regions identified for support include Bicol, Cebu, Negros, Catanduanes, and Aurora.
In coordination with local government units, the PBA will provide construction materials and supplies to help affected families rebuild their homes and restart their livelihoods.
Marcial added that the league aims to allocate ₱4 million to ₱5 million to fund the relief initiative.
Additionally, the commissioner said PBA players will join the initiative to assist affected communities.
Signed jerseys and sneakers from PBA players, including superstar June Mar Fajardo, will be auctioned on Friday, November 14, to support the typhoon relief effort.
