The Charlotte Hornets visited the Minnesota Timberwolves in a game where Minnesota was without star Anthony Edwards and starting forward Jaden McDaniels due to injury. Behind a strong second-half performance, the Hornets pulled away for a 122-108 victory, extending their winning streak to four games while handing the Timberwolves their third straight loss.

Charlotte grabbed control early behind LaMelo Ball, building a 29-21 lead after the first quarter. Minnesota responded in the second behind Bones Hyland, who erupted for 15 points on 4-of-5 shooting as the Timberwolves poured in 39 points in the period to take a five-point lead into halftime.

The game turned decisively in the third. Minnesota’s offense stalled, scoring just 19 points, while Charlotte found its rhythm from deep, using a 34-19 surge to reclaim a double-digit advantage. The Hornets maintained control in the fourth, steadily pulling away to seal the win.

Ball led all scorers with 35 points and eight assists, while Miles Bridges added 25 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for Charlotte.

For Minnesota, Julius Randle finished with 26 points in the loss.

The Timberwolves will visit the Indiana Pacers on April 8, while the Hornets head to face the Boston Celtics on the same day.

Without Edwards, the Timberwolves can hardly be considered a strong team!
