Cooper Flagg and LeBron James entered the record books together on Monday (PH time), becoming the first players in NBA history to each score at least 20 points in the same game with one player a teenager and the other age 40+.
James, who was 41 years and 96 days old when the Los Angeles Lakers faced the Dallas Mavericks, scored 22 points in the first half.
Flagg, who was 19 years and 105 days old at the time of their showdown, fared even better than James in the opening half, dropping 26 points in the first two quarters.
James is carrying the scoring cudgels for the Lakers, with teammates Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves both sidelined because of injuries. Doncic is out because of a hamstring injury, while Reaves will miss some time because of an oblique injury.
